Memorial Day weekend 5-07

It rained all Saturday, but it was beautiful on Sunday when we had our friends Chuck and Loretta and their kids over. Thomas broke out his new Rollerblades and all the kids skated in the drive way.

Nice wink Thomas!

We also celebrated Chuck's 43rd birthday and everyone had cake including Grandma and Grandpa hung out with us. Chuck, Grandpa and Paul had a few drinks and discussed global politics on the back deck

Self Portrait 5-26-07

Moral of the story? Don't leave your camera lying around when Thomas is in the house. This picture was taken after a trip to the Pro Bass store with Grandma and Grandpa. Check out the hat Grandma bought him.
I asked Thomas what this picture was and he said, "I wanted to see what the inside of my mouth looked like." Well, now we all know!

Two peas in a pod! 4-22-07

This is Thomas' very good friend, Michael Kuhl. Susan tells me the are very much alike and are so close in age that they play together very well. Here they are enjoying a wonderful spring day in the back yard.
Both kids like to dress up as super heroes. Here Michael has lent Thomas his Batman outfit for a few days. Thomas kept running around the house as fast as he could asking everyone - "is my cape flying?"

Jumping on the Chicago Bulls band wagon 4-21-07

Our Neighbors the Gher's had some extra tickets to the second Bulls play off game so I took Thomas to his first Bulls game. We had a great time with Rick and Rachel (Rachel is one of Thomas' favorite babysitters). I had not been to a game since MJ retired. It was very fun.
Thomas wore his Bulls Jersey which was given to him by our cousins, Mario and Alice. The cool thing is the 24 jersey is worn by a play with the last name "Thomas" so Thomas has his name on the back of his Jersey. Plenty of room to grow into and that ice cream cone should help!

The Bulls fought hard and won the game. In fact they won the series over Miami, last years champions, in four straight games but lost in the next round to Detroit. Oh well, maybe next year - we have a young team.

Pre Hockey- Thomas' winter sport 3-10-07

Thomas enjoyed hitting the ice once a week during the winter for pre-hockey skating. The kids are broken into different skill sets and the coaches run them through skating drills.
Thomas loved the free skating before and after the best.

One of the coaches lives two blocks away and his 8 year old son Kyle and Thomas know each other from the neighborhood. Kyle is a wonderful skater and a good kid. He talks to Thomas and gives him encouragement when he gets frustrated.
