Mixing Business with Pleasure - Disney January 2007
It's not often you can combine work and fun, but this year I was scheduled to go to the Interlog trade show which was located in Orlando at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club. Susan and Thomas were able to come.
After Grandma came by to pick up Tahoe - who was looking forward to a vacation of her own with Grandpa feeding her cookies non stop, we took a limo to O'hare. Seat belts everyone!
Disney knows how to do it up. Thomas loved the cartoons in the room. First course of action? Off to the swimming pool. While the weather was cool, the pool was heated and Thomas regained his stroke and his confidence after a month long lay off from swimming.
YES, that's Thomas with his face painted like a Blue Power Ranger. "power rangers light speed rescue.." yelled Thomas as he slid down the slide in the "Bone Yard" in DINOLAND- he liked this playground so much, we went back a couple days later, this time with Dad.
Thomas made a very good friend- Roy, the greeter in our lobby. Roy told Thomas about Disney "Pins" and gave him one of his! Well this was the beginning of Thomas' Disney Pin Collection. You can see the blue Lanyard around Thomas's neck. Great marketing ploy by Disney, Thomas had 10 pins before we left for Chicago. It was a great trip and we can't wait to get back there some day!
